Creatine is one of the most researched supplements on the market and a lot of the registered dietitians I trust and respect have had great things to say about it…so I’ve been on the fence about trying it for a while.
💪Although it may be best known for boosting athletic performance, I personally was most interested in the research indicating benefits of creatine on muscle recovery + cognitive function.
I’ll be totally honest here — I think my biggest hesitation in taking it was one many women can relate to. I had heard that it can cause bloating in women – which wasn’t something I wanted to deal with while filming a new program.
SO! After we wrapped our summer workout program last month (🤫), I decided to try it for 30 days and see how I felt.

Just purchased it today ! I’m 41 and have been noticing the past 2 years, a pretty big dip in my energy levels during aerobic exercises, HIIT especially. While im always trying to improve my sleep, ( i think we all are) while quality sleep is a priority for me and has been for a while, it’s been really choppy lately and im trying to be lights out between 830-9. So, im interested to aee creatine helps my sleep, mental clarity as it suggests, and especially energy levels during cardio/ more intense exercise because im tired if thinking " otsmy age". Of course, im not 21 anymore, and you cant compare early 20s energy vs early 40s energy 😂. Still, im in better shape physically nowthan at 30. Also interested to see how it benefits muscle energy and growth during strength training 🎉

I started finally taking it about 3 months ago, & wish I’d started sooner. Definitely can tell an improvement in strength, like for example, I went from 3 pull ups to 6. Which know is still not a lot to some people but I’m a middle aged woman.

I’m 54, and I took my 1st dose today.
Definitely going to look into restarting it. I stopped because i got scared my body would retain more fluid and i would look bigger as a big person. Edit: i do also weight train 4x a week at least and lift pretty heavy. Im not sure if my fear is reasonable though, especially as a woman.. i assume itd be insanely hard to look like a man and im probably overestimating the effect of creatine.
Can you add this to hot liquids as well? Like coffee? And how much extra water do you need to be consuming?

I love creatine for strength purposes but it gives me insomnia! I cannot fall asleep when I’m taking it, and I sleep so lightly. I have cycled on and off it to test my theory and every time I take it, the insomnia hits again. Anyone else?

What is the difference between this one and the one that is micronized?
You dont drink creatine in plain water. You need to take it with juice or any fast acting carbohydrate source for it to fully work if muscle building is what you are looking for. You need that insuline spike for it to flood your cells. I personally take it with a teaspoon of raw honey, which in itself has mild anabolic effects.
